  • Services are provided on a private pay basis which means that I do not accept insurance. This allows you to be in control of your services and determine how much, if at all, you want your insurance to be involved in your care. We can discuss what this means and I can help guide toward what may be most beneficial to you.

If you want to use your out of network benefits, I am am happy to offer you a superbill to submit for potential reimbursement by your insurance. Reimbursement cannot be guaranteed.

  • I am currently offering in office and telehealth sessions, or a combination of both to support your needs.

  • That depends on your preference, your comfort level and circumstances. Online Telehealth services allow for a true, "meet you where you are" session. Some clients appreciate the ease, comfort and flexibility of this option. All online services are provided through a HIPAA compliant video/audio platform.

In person sessions are hosted in my residential office, a confidential and comfortable space with ample parking on a beautifully tree lined street. Some clients enjoy the in person, face to face contact and opportunity to connect with me, allowing them the opportunity to separate the work done in therapy from any other space.

I am happy to support what makes you most comfortable, works best for your schedule and supports your process. You are welcome to choose either option, or a combination as mentioned above.

  • A good therapist acts as an ally and from your very first session we'll work to forge a bond based on mutual trust. This is known as a therapeutic alliance. I strive for inclusivity and to work from an anti racist, culturally responsive, LGBTQ+ affirming, social justice-oriented perspective. I invite and encourage feedback from client's on a regular basis in an effort to ensure you feel heard, understood and supported in the ways you need.

If for any reason the needs of a client are outside of my scope of knowledge and/or training, I will provide alternative referrals.

  • I know things happen and if you are unable to make an in-person session, you may alternatively request a telehealth session instead of cancelling. Any appointments adjusted to telehealth, or rescheduled within the same week will avoid any fees charged.

There is a minimum 24 hour notice to make any changes to your scheduled appointment. Missed appointments and cancellations (or rescheduling) occurring less than 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment will be charged at the full session rate.

  • Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

    • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost

    • Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

    • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
